Education and Child Protection Content Development Consultant

The consultant will develop and edit journalistic and institutional content related to education and child protection against violence, supporting UNICEF's Education that Protects against Violence strategy in Brazil. The role involves content production, review, and synthesis of knowledge products to support education professionals and policy development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and edit journalistic and institutional content related to education and child protection against violence.
• Review and analyze bibliographic references and existing studies to develop knowledge products.
• Synthesize information gathered from meetings and events.
• Conduct interviews to gather relevant information.
• Oversee and review graphic design and publication processes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Linguistics, Language Studies, Communication, Education or related fields.
• 10 years of professional experience in communications and in the production of journalistic and institutional content.
• Proven experience in the development and editing of journalistic and/or institutional content for education professionals.
• Proven experience in the development and editing of journalistic and/or institutional content on violence and education.
• Skills in reviewing and analyzing bibliographic references.
• Skills in reviewing and synthesizing existing studies, publications, and evidence for the development of knowledge products.
• Skills in synthesizing information gathered through participation in meetings and events.
• Expertise in conducting interviews.
• Skills in overseeing and reviewing graphic design and publication processes.
• Fluency in Portuguese.
• Basic knowledge of English.
• Experience working for the United Nations system (desirable).
• Experience producing content on the rights of children and adolescents in public policy areas beyond education (desirable).
• Experience producing content related to gender issues (desirable).
• Experience producing content related to emergency contexts, such as migration emergencies (desirable).
