Consultoría Senior Nacional: metodología de protección comunitaria para fortalecer factores protectores y prevenir la VBG - Protección a la infancia

As a senior national consultant, you will lead the design and validation of a community protection methodology to prevent and respond to gender-based violence affecting children and adolescents in emergency contexts. You will strengthen protective factors at individual, family, and community levels, promote safe and inclusive environments, and support capacity building for UNICEF and implementing partners with emphasis on adolescent leadership and gender norm transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and validation of a community protection methodology to prevent and respond to gender-based violence affecting children and adolescents in emergency contexts.
• Strengthen protective factors at individual, family and community levels to promote safe, inclusive and resilient environments.
• Support capacity building of UNICEF and implementing partners to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of the strategy.
• Emphasize adolescent leadership and empowerment and transformation of harmful social and gender norms.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Law, International Studies or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in child protection, gender-based violence (GBV), institutional strengthening or related areas.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating capacity strengthening processes and methodological development of child protection strategies with a gender approach.
• Knowledge of national protection systems.
• Experience in child protection and case management including GBV cases.
• Experience in developing tools, guides, training materials and methodological resources.
• Experience working with national and international NGOs, UN agencies or implementing partners.
• Experience in humanitarian, emergency or community development contexts.
• Knowledge and experience in Child Protection.
• Knowledge and experience in GBV and methodology development for adolescent protection, gender and GBV work.
• Experience in community capacity strengthening.
• Ability to develop tools, learning materials and technical products.
• Communication, coordination and document drafting skills.
• Ability to work with diverse actors including implementing partners, community organizations and humanitarian actors.
• Fluent oral and written Spanish.
• Intermediate or advanced oral and written English is desirable.
• Previous experience with UNICEF or UN agencies is desirable.
• Experience in temporary camps, shelters or emergency response is desirable.
