See your match score & applyThe consultant will lead the update of cost frameworks in consultation with the Ministry of Health and UNICEF CO, coordinating with the PCIMEc working group and other stakeholders. The role involves strategic planning and implementation support for community health programs in Madagascar.
Responsibilities
- Lead the update of cost frameworks in consultation with the Ministry of Health/Community and Child Health Service, UNICEF CO, PCIMEc working group and other stakeholders as needed.
- Coordinate and engage with multiple stakeholders to ensure updated investment frameworks reflect current needs and priorities.
- Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to support community health program planning and implementation.
- Facilitate training and capacity building for national groups and frontline health workers.
- Prepare and deliver presentations tailored to diverse audiences to communicate primary health care interventions effectively.
Requirements
- Doctorate in public health, social sciences, health economics or a relevant field.
- Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible professional experience at the national level in analysis, management and leadership of health sector programs.
- Previous experience with PCIMEc in a low-income country context is highly desirable.
- Proven experience working with/liaising with the Ministry of Health and other key stakeholders engaged in community health.
- Relevant experience in community health programming including strategic planning and implementation at the national level across health system tiers.
- Relevant experience in effective presentation skills including adapting messages and visual aids for multiple audiences to deliver concise and impactful primary health care interventions presentations.
- Effective facilitation skills with proven ability to engage and train groups at the national level as well as frontline health professionals.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Familiarity with major donor interests and funding opportunities is an advantage.
