Consultancy to support UNESCO Mexico Office in planning and developing key actions for transforming higher education in Mexico, focusing on digital transformation and ethical integration of AI in education. The role involves coordinating a national forum, systematizing inputs, and developing strategic documents to guide higher education transformation towards 2030 and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Develop a foundational document describing conceptual foundations, objectives, methodology, activities, products, and work schedule of the UNESCO-SES project.
• Plan and support coordination of the national high-level forum, including conceptual note and event activities.
• Systematize contributions from forum participants and prepare the event report.
• Establish methodology and instruments for reflection on comprehensive transformation of Mexican higher education towards 2030 and beyond.
• Perform other activities as determined by project coordination.

Requirements

• Professional with postgraduate level (Master’s Degree) in pedagogy, education sciences, educational technology, social anthropology and/or social sciences.
• At least five years of experience in higher education projects.
• Broad knowledge of challenges posed by digital technologies and AI use in higher education.
• Knowledge of UNESCO's global education policies and approaches, especially regarding digital technologies and AI in education.
• At least five years of experience in research processes and systematization of quantitative and qualitative data.
• Skills in using digital tools for research and communication.
• Fluency in English, both oral and written.
