See your match score & applyThe Manager, Transformation Project Management – FMS SaaS is responsible for project management across key workstreams including integrations and broader design to support the Senior Project Manager and Project Lead. The role ensures adherence to project lifecycle, manages integration plans, facilitates governance forums, coordinates with stakeholders, and drives delivery of the Financial Management System SaaS migration project.
Responsibilities
- Project manage the FMS SaaS Integrations workstream, using the SCI Project Management toolkit, ensuring integrations are delivered on time, to scope, and to the required quality standard
- Support the Project Lead to define, document, and maintain the integrations scope, including the full inventory of integrations (APIs and data flows) between FMS SaaS and other SCI systems, ensuring this is agreed with the FMS SaaS Project Director and relevant technical and business stakeholders
- Manage an ambitious but achievable plan for the integrations workstream, taking into account technical dependencies, vendor delivery schedules, testing cycles, and go-live timelines
- Coordinate with functional workstream leads and the IT team to ensure integration requirements are captured accurately, interface specifications are agreed, and build and test activities are sequenced effectively
- Drive areas of Project Management accountability, ensuring they run to a regular beat: monitor activity across build, test, and deployment phases, manage adherence to plan, and resolve obstacles to delivery
- Work closely with broader team members to ensure delivery remains on track
- Adhere to and manage required project controls for areas of Project Management accountability (plan, risks/issues, dependencies, scope management) and use them to drive delivery, proactively identifying and managing technical and programme risks and issues and driving actions to mitigate or resolve
- Provide input to regular status reports that support effective decision making within the FMS SaaS Project, at the Management Review Group (MRG) or equivalent, with clear escalation of risks, issues, and decisions required
- Set up and maintain the repository of documentation for each stage of project lifecycle, ensuring that all documentation has a clear purpose in driving the project forward
- Implement best practices and procedures in project management within the project and contribute to the continuous improvement of the project management toolkit
- Work with the Global Change Manager assigned to the FMS SaaS Project to ensure related change activities (including cutover, training, and communications for impacted teams) are incorporated into the plan
- Provide broader project management support to the FMS SaaS Project, including cross-workstream coordination, governance support, and plan management as capacity allows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Understanding of a structured Project methodology (e.g. PRINCE2) or accredited Project Management training (APM or PMI)
- Extensive project management experience, including delivery of SaaS, or large-scale systems implementation in a complex global organisation
- Demonstrable experience and in-depth knowledge of programme and project management practices and standards
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget, using project management processes and tools including risk management, financial management, and quality assurance
- Demonstrable experience managing vendor relationships in a systems delivery context
- Working understanding of technical integration concepts (APIs, data mapping, interface specifications, and testing approaches) sufficient to manage delivery and hold technical teams and vendors to account on quality and schedule
- Proven experience of using and leading change management activities including change impact assessment, stakeholder management, managing resistance, building change capacity, designing and defining roles and responsibilities
- Proven ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills, and to work collaboratively to deliver effective solutions to project related issues
- Developed organisational awareness and ability to understand sensitivities within a complex multi-stakeholder structure; ability to think creatively and strategically to overcome obstacles to cooperation and progress
- Team leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and mobilise individuals outside their reporting line
- Business requirements collection, and process/workflow analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills (written & oral English), including the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation
- Able to demonstrate instances of initiative that have delivered organisational benefits
- Cultural awareness and experience of delivering solutions internationally
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and office suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Non-profit sector knowledge/experience
- Proficiency in a second core language of Save the Children (French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic)
