The Líder de Equipo de Recuperación Económica will supervise, provide technical support, and guide the Economic Recovery team members. The role ensures quality planning, execution, and monitoring of all technical aspects of Economic Recovery activities conducted by DRC at the base level in Carúpano, Venezuela.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the Economic Recovery team including staff planning, performance, wellbeing, and development.
  • Ensure effective planning and quality execution of sector and support activities.
  • Provide daily monitoring and quality assurance of Economic Recovery interventions at the base.
  • Provide technical support and inputs to Economic Recovery teams.
  • Ensure efficient and effective program implementation respecting budget and work plans.
  • Participate in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual summaries/reports, proposals, and donor budgets.
  • Lead the team in monitoring and evaluation exercises of projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external technical experts relevant to the sector.
  • Coordinate with communities, institutions, and other humanitarian actors in economic recovery.
  • Represent DRC in relevant technical coordination meetings.
  • Ensure integration with other DRC sectors (Protection, WASI, Disaster Preparedness).
  • Supervise project execution and monitoring, ensuring data collection and indicator measurement as per logical frameworks.
  • Monitor quality and completeness of aid delivery documentation, ensuring compliance with MEAL standards and timely validation.
  • Supervise or facilitate workshops or activities required by the program according to needs and project goals.
  • Support financial tracking and expenditure monitoring against budgets and provide timely budget follow-up information.
  • Plan and proactively coordinate logistics and staff movements to operational areas.
  • Initiate procurement processes and ensure proper execution.
  • Ensure distribution plans are prepared and shared timely with logistics department.
  • Guarantee protection approach in humanitarian assistance deliveries according to established protocols.
  • Manage Economic Recovery staff at the base.
  • Ensure timely execution of work plans and tasks agreed with immediate supervisor.
  • Manage recruitment requests and conduct annual performance evaluations under supervisor guidance.
  • Identify professional development needs and ensure continuous and specific training for the team.
  • Ensure base teams know, understand, apply, and respect DRC Venezuela regulations.
  • Report staff misconduct to area manager and participate in disciplinary processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mid or senior management positions, preferably in humanitarian response and migrant protection within an international or local NGO, UN agency, ministry, or local authority.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Food Security or Logistics/Supply Chain sector working for an international or local NGO.
  • Demonstrated management skills and competence in people management.
  • Commitment to learning and applying organizational policies and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Full professional proficiency in English (B2-C1 level desirable).
  • Field experience.
  • Proven experience coordinating and liaising with local authorities, community leaders, business guilds, and small businesses.
  • Specialist degree from a university in Economics, Administration, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Master's degree in Political Science, International Development, Economics, or other related specialties is valued.
