Finance Internship

The Danish Refugee Council is offering a finance internship for the spring semester 2027. Interns will support financial audits, donor reporting, project closure processes, budget corrections, and finance controlling tasks within the INET Finance, Project controlling and Finance controlling units.

Responsibilities

• Support financial audits of projects and interim donor reporting.
• Assist in project closure processes.
• Support with budget changes and corrections in the ERP system.
• Support in donor audit processes (ECHO, USAID, DANIDA, SIDA).
• Assist in DANIDA SPA II closure & financial coordination.
• Help the finance project cycle controlling (CFM3 coordination).
• Support in inductions.
• Provide finance desk support to country operations in coordination with finance controllers.
• Assist with financial and accounting tasks.
• Develop tools to support and standardize tasks/processes.
• Support delivery of statutory audits materials.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a university or relevant educational program during the whole duration of the internship period.
• Have a working knowledge of Excel.
• Have good communication skills in English.
• Approach tasks with curiosity and a can-do attitude.
• Be proactive, service-minded, and take ownership of work.
• Can handle complexity and work in a structured, solution-oriented way.
